How to Get Your $8000 Tax Credit


For all those of you who have done your part to provide a stimulus to the U.S. economy by buying your first home...let's take a look at ways for you to get the tax credit to which you are entitled.

There are a couple of ways depending upon when you would like to receive the tax credit. First if you would like to receive it in the near future then you can amend your 2008 return using a few easy steps that are detailed in the link below:

And, of course, you can apply it to your 2009 Income taxes by taking the following steps:

And for those of you who are sitting on the fence...it's time to jump into the game. The tax credit is only applicable to first time home buyers who purchase AND CLOSE by December 1st, 2009.
